This course is to help clinicians stay up to date with current guidelines and gives non clinicians the knowledge needed to provide the very initial stages of support until a medical professional arrives.
This course covers topics including the primary survey and CPR (adult, child, and baby), the use of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED), positioning someone in the recovery position, and managing someone who is choking.
While there is no formal assessment as this is an awareness course, there is opportunity for practical work using the CPR mannequins.
